Champion Juicers for Sale

October 25th, 2010 by

The Champion 2000+ is a masticating juicer. It comes in two different flavors. There is the household version and also the commercial machine. The model numbers are G5-NG853S and G5-PG710 respectively. They are almost identical and the cost is not all that much different either. The commercial version is slightly more expensive because it is a bit more hard wearing. The ball bearings in this machine are heavier than in the household unit.

If you are wanting to know where to get one of these juicers, there are a few options. You may be able to find one in an electrical superstore. This will likely be the most expensive place that you could purchase one of these units, if indeed you can find one. The other option is to shop online. There are quite a few different places where you can find them. The two places that I think are the best to look are the Champion homepage and the Amazon website. You can compare prices to see who has the best deal on a Champion juicer for sale. What I find surprising is that Amazon are sometimes able to offer a lower price than the manufacturers themselves.

As I mentioned at the start, the Champion 2000+ is a masticating juicer. This style of machine is able to create a rich, tasty and nutritious fruit and vegetable juice. It allows for constant juicing because the juice and pulp are ejected out of different holes. All you have to do is have a separate container for each. It is quite a heavy machine and you can tell that it is a solid piece of kitchenware. It is made by the American firm Plastaket which is based in California. They have been producing juicing appliances since 1955 so have a rich history in the juicing scene.

Omega Masticating Juicers

There are four juicers in the Omega masticating juicer range. They are the Omega J8003, J8004, J8005, J8006. In this product review article I shall explain the differences between these models as well as discuss the various functions of these machines and how they can be used. For example, they can obviously be used to make fruit and vegetable drinks. Indeed, this is their primary function. No one would buy one of these products if they were not interested in health and making highly nutritious, vitamin packed juices. Other things that you can do with these appliances include, make your own baby foods, create exciting sauces, extrude pasta with one of the special attachments and grind up nuts too. Below is a discussion of the particular models in the Omega masticating juicer range.

Omega J8003 and J8004 vs Omega J8005 and J8006

The first two machines are white in color while the latter two are an attractive chrome and black design. These differences are superficial but when we compare these Omega juicers in a different way, as below, we can see that there are slight differences other than color between some of the units.

Omega J8003 and J8005 vs Omega J8004 and J8006

The first two models named in this section come with a ten year warranty. They are in effect the exact same juicer except for the difference outlined in the section above. The Omega J8004 and J8006 have two features that make them “better”. First of all, instead of a ten year warranty they have fifteen year warranties. With this length of warranty, it is clear that Omega themselves have faith in their own products. This is a good sign. The other difference is in the material from with the auger is made. In the J8004/6 models it is manufactured from a plastic called GE Ultem. This is harder and more durable than the auger in the J8003/5 models. In fact, it is so strong that these machines can cope with working in a commercial setting, of course, they can be used at home too.

Omega J8006 Juicer

The top of the range juicer in Omega’s masticating range is their J8006 unit. It is not too much more expensive than any of the other devices which start at the J8003. In fact, all of their masticating juicers cost over $200 so it might be worth it to spend just a little bit extra to get the top of the range model. Of course, this is a decision that only you can make.

Reasons that you may decide to purchase an Omega J8006 are that it comes with a longer warranty than the J8003 and J8005 models. This specific machine, along with the Omega J8004 have 15 year warranties as opposed to the shorter 10 year warranty of the other two models. The only other difference is that both the J8004 and top of the range J8006 have an auger made of a stronger material. It is produced from the plastic, GE Ultem. This is known for its light weight, strength and durability. Therefore you can certainly use this juicing appliance in a commercial environment. Indeed masticating juicers make a good option for businesses because they can juice constantly without the need to empty them. Once the juice has been extracted from the pulp, the dried fruit and vegetable matter is ejected out of a hole in the side of the machine. All you have to do is collect it in one of the containers that is provided with the appliance and throw it away. If you are environmentally conscious you may want to use this pulp for garden composting.

This particular model also looks very attractive. In fact both this unit and the Omega J8005 have a lovely looking exterior. They both have a nice chrome and black finish. It is important to keep the body clean so as to keep the juicer looking its best.
