Now a days, many of us want to be able to make great tasting rice at home. The good news is that this is easy if we use one of the best rice cookers on the market. This does not mean we have to spend a fortune on a piece of kitchenware but if we are wise we can get a great device for a reasonable price. Of course, it is true that the more we spend, the better the machine that we will be able to afford. But the question you have to ask yourself is whether or not you actually need all the functions of the top priced rice cookers. There is no denying that for many of us spending more than $300 on a rice cooker is a lot of money.

The first thing you will want to know is that Micom rice cookers are the best. These machines include a tiny computer chip that controls the cooking process. It determines how long the cooking cycle will last and it can also vary the temperature within the inner cooking bowl. Therefore there really is not a great deal for you to do as your rice is cooking. Micom rice cookers start at around about $100.  It is possible to find some for less than that and of course they go right up to $400 if you want to spend that much!

Another important choice to make is the size of machine to buy. There are three typical sizes which are 3 cup, 5 1/2 cup and 10 cup. So it depends upon who you are going to be cooking for that determines which sized machine you should choose. For families of more than four people, a 5 1/2 or 10 cup machine would be best. While for people living alone, a 3 cup is the perfect size.
