A common question I hear is “What is the best juicer?”

Trying to improve our health is of major importance to so many people today. And finding the best juicer can be a bit of a quest. But there are so many good juicing appliances to choose from, we do not have to worry so much and we can just go ahead a get a device that we think looks attractive. This is one way to choose a juicer. Of course, there are other things that we can look for too. This is what we shall now discuss.

There are actually a few different styles of juicer. Some of them look completely different and others look quite similar but internally, the juicing action that they use is somewhat different. The three major types of units are centrifugal juicers, masticating juicers and twin gear juicers. Each style has some specific advantages associated with it which I want to point out.

Firstly, centrifugal juicers are known for their speed and ease of use. They really are quick. This is a great benefit for those of us who are in a bit of a rush or do not leave ourselves enough time in the morning to prepare our breakfast. With this type of juicer we can still have time to make a juice that will benefit our energy levels all through the day.

Masticating juicers are great because they can juice not only fruit and vegetables but also wheat grass too. This makes them perhaps the most versatile sort of juicer and great for people who want to enjoy the health benefits of green drinks.

Finally, twin gear juicers are said to be the best type of juicer with regards to getting the most liquid out of the fruit and vegetables that are processed. So for the same amount of produce, this type of machine will get the highest quantity of highly nutritious fruit and vegetable juice.

Examples of these machines are as follows:

Centrifugal juicer: e.g. Breville BJE200XL

Masticating juicer: e.g. Omega J8003

Twin gear juicer: e.g. Green Star GS-1000
